STAFF TRAINING WEEK AT SHUMEN UNIVERSITY

Konstantin Preslavsky University of Shumen successfully organized its second Erasmus+ Staff Training Week from 18 to 22 May 2026. The event brought together academic and administrative staff from partner universities across several countries, including Turkey, Poland, and Romania.

During the week, participants presented their institutions, exchanged good practices and experiences in higher education, and explored opportunities for future collaboration and joint Erasmus+ projects.

The program featured a seminar titled “Practical Strategies for Stress Management and Preventing Burnout,” led by Prof. S. Eyubova, PhD. The seminar focused on maintaining mental well-being and effectively coping with professional challenges in an academic setting. This is a topic that, in our fast-paced daily lives, is extremely relevant to the educational community.

A rich cultural programme was also organized for the guests, including visits to the house museums Lajos Kossuth and Srebrova House, the Madara National Historical and Archaeological Reserve, the Pliska National Historical and Archaeological Reserve, the Shumen Fortress, and the Founders of the Bulgarian State Monument. These visits provided participants with the opportunity to gain insight into the region’s rich history, cultural traditions, and historical heritage.

The planned activities during the training strengthened the existing partnerships and opened new avenues for cooperation. The Erasmus Staff Training Week concluded with highly positive feedback from participants, who expressed their appreciation for the excellent organization, the quality of the programme, and the valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing and the exchange of good practices.
