Erasmus+ Program 2014-2020
„Erasmus+“ is an EU program for education, training, youth and sport 2014-2020 which is a protraction of the Erasmus sector program.
The Erasmus+ program aims to improve skills and employability, as well as to modernize education, training and working with the youth. This seven-year program will has a budget of € 14.7 billion, an increase of 40% compared to the current level of expenditure, reflecting the EU’s commitment to investing in these areas.
Erasmus+ will enable more than 4 million Europeans to study, train, acquire work experience and work as volunteers abroad.
Erasmus+ brings together seven existing EU programs in the fields of education, training and youth, providing support for the first time in the field of sport. As a result, Erasmus+ offers more opportunities for cooperation between the education, training, youth and sport sectors.
Every year, it gives thousands of students and lecturers the chance to gain new knowledge or pass on their knowledge.
The program covers the higher education and is an indispensable opportunity to study or practice in a university or an enterprise in the EU, EEA and other LLP member states. In 2013 the „Konstantin Preslavsky“ University of Shumen was successfully approved and received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education at 210475-EPP-1-2014-1-BG-EPPKA3-ECHE
